Our Feather Princesses members contribute greatly to the overall success of our guild; and therefore, our Executive Board takes pleasure in expressing gratitude and congratulations by presenting the Princess of the Month Award to a very deserving member each month at our guild meeting.
The selection of each Princess of the Month is primarily based on that member’s level of commitment, dedication, loyalty, and volunteer service to our guild. A Feather Princesses member may receive the award multiple times, as some have done. The selection is not dictated by a member’s tenure or length of time in our guild.
Upon being bestowed the Princess of the Month award, the honoree is applauded by her fellow Princesses in attendance, presented “the hat” to wear throughout the duration of the meeting, and receives a gift bag containing appliqué goodies and other quilting supplies, as a token of appreciation from the Executive Board. The Princess of the Month is also allowed to go to the head of the serving line at lunch time during the meeting.
The Princess of the Month Award began in April, 2006; and since that time, many worthy Feather Princesses have been bestowed this honor. The goal of our Executive Board is to eventually present the award to each and every Feather Princesses member; and they encourage members to aspire to receiving it.
